Last updated: 1 January 2025 · Luminary Academy

01
About These Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Luminary Academy website and all digital course materials, downloads, and resources ("Service"). By creating an account or purchasing a course, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full.

Luminary Academy is operated by an individual trader based in the United Kingdom. Our contact email is MdoeDeveloper@gmail.com.

Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service. If you do not agree with any part, you must not use the Service.

02
Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or purchase a course. By using the Service, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Our courses are designed for use in professional and business contexts — specifically for managers, operations leads, and business professionals in retail, warehouse, and industrial environments.

03
Your Account

To access course content and downloadable materials, you must create an account with a valid email address and password. You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your login credentials secure and confidential at all times
  • All activity that occurs under your account
  • Notifying us at MdoeDeveloper@gmail.com immediately if you suspect unauthorised access
  • Ensuring your account information remains accurate and up to date

Your enrolment data — including all purchased courses — is saved to your account and accessible at any time by signing back in.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

04
Course Purchases

All prices are displayed in British Pounds (£) inclusive of any applicable taxes. By completing a purchase, you confirm that:

  • You are authorised to use the payment method provided
  • The payment information you provide is accurate and complete
  • You have read and understood the course description before purchasing

Your course access and any available downloadable materials are made available immediately upon successful payment confirmation.

05
Refund Policy

No Refunds After Download: All course materials are digital. Once you have accessed or downloaded any course material, your purchase is strictly non-refundable. Please review the course description carefully before completing payment.

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (UK), you ordinarily have a 14-day cooling-off period for digital goods. However, by accessing or downloading course materials, you expressly consent to immediate delivery and waive your right to cancel under these regulations.

If you have not accessed any course material within 14 days of purchase and wish to request a refund, please contact us at MdoeDeveloper@gmail.com. We will consider each case fairly.

Requests made after 14 days from purchase, or where materials have been accessed or downloaded, will not be honoured.

06
Intellectual Property

All course content — including written materials, frameworks, methodologies, decision tables, diagrams, downloadable files, and the Luminary Academy brand — is our intellectual property protected by copyright law.

Your purchase grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for your own professional development. You may not:

  • Share, reproduce, or distribute course materials to others in any form
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit course content
  • Use our methodologies to create competing products or services
  • Remove any copyright notices, branding, or attribution from course materials
  • Upload course materials to any public sharing platform or repository

You may apply the methodologies from our courses freely in your own workplace — that is precisely what they are designed for.

07
Downloads & Materials

Enrolled students gain access to downloadable materials associated with their purchased courses. These may include PDF workbooks, spreadsheet templates, decision tables, and other resources.

Downloaded materials are for your personal professional use only and remain subject to the intellectual property terms in Section 06.

We reserve the right to update, add to, or remove downloadable materials at any time. Where we remove core materials, we will endeavour to provide equivalent alternatives.

The availability of downloadable materials does not affect our no-refund policy once materials have been accessed or downloaded.

08
Acceptable Use

You agree not to use our Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of our systems or other users' accounts
  • Share your account credentials with others
  • Engage in any activity that disrupts or harms the Service
  • Scrape or extract content from our website by automated means
  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation
09
Disclaimer

Our courses are provided in good faith based on real operational experience. However, we make no guarantee that the methodologies and frameworks will produce specific outcomes in your particular environment. Results will vary depending on team size, management structure, operational context, and implementation.

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, except as required by applicable UK law including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

10
Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by UK law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from your use of our Service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid for the course giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

11
Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on our website. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

12
Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of our Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
